Cynthia Rothrock - Queen of Martial Arts Films" and "Kung-Fu Video Queen" has been amazing martial arts fans since her action debut in "Yes Madam" in 1985. It is a unique blend of music and film showing all aspects of art. We are a festival about uniting and helping to promote all submissions. We feel that all artists have amazing stories and messages to share with the world. We want to help push those stories and messages, even after the festival is all said and done. We realize and understand the time and effort that is put into making a film and how often many works of art get unnoticed and overlooked. Even if your film is not chosen, we will provide you positive feedback of why it was not chosen. Our Red Carpet Award Ceremony will be held at the Capital Hilton in Washington, DC on August 28, 2010. The lights will shine on all as we will have photographers and the media there to be part of this unforgettable event. We will show of our WMIFF Top Models and provide live music entertainment. Awards will be given out for the best documentaries, short film, full feature and best music videos. We will have Special Guests and Guest Judges like "Tiger Claws", Cynthia Rothrock and David Stevenson, "Dawson Creeks" Johnny Alonso, 2003 Grammy Award Winner, Charles Robinson and 2008 Grammy Nominee, Cisco Steel. In February, our website will be upgraded and will have a new look and feel. We will have an online voting system so people who come to our site can vote for the "WMIFF Peeps Award" for the best music video and movie trailer that will be giving out at our Red Carpet Event. All the awards will be a specialized trophy like a Grammy or a Academy award. The Festival will be filmed by TV44 The Global Channel and Channel 16.
